Treats from Japan

Yesterday was a really hectic day with lots of unanticipated interruptions.  One being the delivery of this box from Japan. 

Back in August, we hosted a BBQ for a few of my spouse’s colleagues.  And I completely bonded with one gentleman visiting from France over our mutual love for Japan.  

It is over 14 years since I last lived there, but I still have very fond memories of my time in Japan, the people I met, the cities I visited and the amazing food I ate.  God I love their food!  

So you can imagine how touched I was that out of the blue I received a parcel from Osaka filled with sweat treats. 

I’m not usually one who loves surprises, but I will take a surprise box of oishii sweets from Japan any time!!  What an awesome treat!

Thank you Fernando for the truly thoughtful gift!  I will savour every bite!
