One of the best ways to do that is with table runners!

They’re super versatile. They can be used on their own or can be layered with a tablecloth. You can even feature them on sideboards and buffets to protect while laying out your spread of goodies for guests to help themselves to.

So, not only do they serve aesthetic and protective functions, but they’re also super fuuuuuun to make!

Whether for your own personal enjoyment or intended as a gift for a loved one – quilted table runners are a must in any quilter’s repertoire!

The Shattered Star quilted table runner pattern offers you the chance to make a bold statement on your table!

SHATTERED STAR – GREEN ARTISAN COTTON VERSION

This one came about in a very impromptu way! I had other plans for some of these fabrics, but somehow, I managed to stack them in a way that paired them up and I was instantly in love. The freshness of those green Artisan Cottons was just calling me to stitch them up. And I’m so happy I did! I love how vibrant these greens are and instantly makes me feel like Spring is right around the corner (even though it’s full on Fall outside my window at the moment!).

When it came time to quilting her up, I was super excited to play with the negative space and featured a 28wt Aurifil Thread in this luscious Leaf Green colour. I’m a real sucker for texture and the 28wt gives that in spades without having to commit to hand quilting.
