Aurifil Artisan Collection 2019
The thread has arrived!!
And not just any thread – no, this is the good stuff all the way from Italy 😉
Honestly, it was kinda cool to receive a package from Italy. Having never been, it feels cool to at least have a piece of a place I want to visit. Surely, I’m not the only one who geeks out over thread and a parcel’s origins?
Well, I’m one of those people who does get excited over these fun details.
And I bet you’d have a tough time not smiling when you see these pretties?

Come on. Admit it. You’re fired up and enjoying looking at these colourful spools too!
After seeing other reveals by my fellow Aurifil Artisan’s, I know each of our boxes are unique. Which makes it that much more exciting to get to peek inside what I get to play with.
First up, was this fun Aurifil Thread *case. I’m stopping at the case, because it deserves a moment to shine! I’ve wanted one of these cases for awhile now. And the cherry on top is the Aurifil Artisan Collection sticker it came with! (seriously love that sticker!)
Even more fun was the case filled to the bri-iiiiiiiiim with pretty spools of varying thread weights.
They include:
My collection is now in pretty good shape with the addition of all these new colours.
Plus, I also got cones in #2000 50wt (which I hear is amazing for blending in with all different colours) and a 40wt longarm cone in #2024 (which I found out I can use with my Juki). My Aurifil friends also included a spool of invisible thread. I’ve been super curious to try this out.
There was a bunch of these small spools all in the colour #2325 in 50wt, 40wt, 28wt, 12wt, 80wt and Aurifloss.
I shared a full unboxing over on IG (which I’ve saved to my highlights in case you want a video tour), but I thought some up close and personal photos might be a good idea too! Perhaps I’m just a thread nerd, but I often find thread can be a great jumping off point to get my creative juices flowing! Have you found that too?
I’ll be dipping into these threads over the coming months, so I figured it was good to have a round-up post that you can reference at any time to see what I’m working with.

Which reminds me, stay tuned for next week when I get to reveal what I made featuring these pretty materials. You know I just had to dip into those Auriflosses!
Happy quilting!
