Curious about improv quilting, but not sure how to get started?
Join me online for this 3-hour virtual quilt workshop where I'll walk you through how to get started with modern improv quilting. I'll show you step-by-step how to piece a mini improv art quilt so that you can proudly frame your finished mini in your sewing room!
The class is kept small (max. 12 students) and intimate so that you and I will have time to spend together and I can address any of your questions that pop up!
What You'll Learn:
You'll learn how to kick off your improv session, where to start when you're staring at a blank cutting mat, how to work through getting 'stuck' mid-block construction, how to critique your piece, to cleaning up your mini quilt masterpiece for display!
Skill Level:
This class is suitable for beginners. As long as you know your way around a sewing machine, you can tackle this workshop!
Timing:
The virtual workshop will occur on Friday, February 18, 2022, from 9 am to 12 pm EST.
Workshop Location:
This is a virtual workshop that will occur over Zoom. I will send you a personalized link to join a few days before the workshop.
Required supplies:
- sewing machine, thread, iron, ironing board
- rotary cutter and/ or tailor shears
- cutting mat
- ruler
- scrap fabric or a series of 3-5 fat quarters
I can't wait to show you how fun and liberating improv quilting can be!

Shannon
